November 2008...New Director of Sales

Jim Schwartz has been named Director of Sales of Clean Rooms International effective November 12, 2008. Jim has been with CRI since October 2000 in our Sales Department. Prior to joining our team, Jim came to us with 15 years of experience as Director of Operations and Project Manager for Comp-Aire Systems, Inc.

October 2008...New President & Chief Executive Officer

Tim Werkema has been named the new President and CEO of Clean Rooms International effective October 1, 2008. This change is the final step of a succession plan which began approximately five years ago. Nelson Werkema, immediate past President & CEO, is retiring but will remain active in a transition role with the company until February, 2009. He will also remain as a shareholder and member of the Board of Directors.

Tim Werkema graduated in 1993 from Michigan State University with a finance degree. He started his career as a food broker sales representative in Detroit, joined CRI Sales Department in October of 1997 and became a shareholder in 2000. At that time he was promoted to Vice President & Director of Sales.

Tim married Heather Knapp on September 11, 1999, and now has three children, Lyndsay (8), Sam (6) and Ally (4).

“This is the start of a new era in the history of Clean Rooms International”, says Nelson Werkema, “ Tim is ready and eager to grow CRI to a level that I could only dream about. I am delighted that Tim is succeeding me as President & CEO.”

May 2008...President signs Economic Stimulus Act...

President Bush signed The Economic Stimulus Act of 2008 which gives tax breaks to companies making capital investments. Our Legend Modular Hardwall Cleanrooms, Flexible Solutions Softwall Cleanrooms, Clean Benches & Workstations and Built-to-Order Isolation Equipment should qualify for the tax incentives in this stimulus package.
